Rana Sweis is a freelance journalist and media consultant who serves as the Media Coach for the Online Activism Institute.

Based in Amman, Rana has worked as a media consultant for various non-profit organizations including the Jordan Media Institute. Her work has been published in the Jordan Times, The Weekly Star, International Herald Tribune, Living Well Magazine and other media outlets where she writes about political and social issues. She was also the public information officer for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and has contributed articles to its website.

Rana holds a Master’s Degree from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism from Hofstra.
