The Egyptian Center for Development and Democratic Studies 

The Egyptian Center for Development and Democratic Studies (ECDDS) works to develop and support democratic practices in Egypt.  It promotes the principles of citizenship and human rights and the values of citizen participation within society, strengthening Egyptian civil society as a whole.  ECDDS develops programs that provide opportunities for gaining new skills and promote ongoing dialogue. Some of these programs include:  

• Providing training for youth
• Providing free legal help and guidance to the impoverished
• Giving legal support to programs that encourage freedom and democracy
