Carol Vernon, an executive coach, serves as the Leadership Mentor for the Online Activism Institute. Following more than 20 years in senior level positions in the political, government, and corporate arenas, she founded Communication Matters, where she coaches political, community and business leaders.
Her areas of expertise are leadership, communications, team building, and change management.
Carol presents seminars and workshops around the country and writes about leadership and communications issues for several publications. She is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, the American Society of Association Executives, and the National Women Business and Community Leaders Council.
Carol has been trained and certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and holds advisory board positions at the professional society level. She has taught and coached communications skills at the Women’s Campaign School at Yale.
Carol has a BA in English and Communications from Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA, and has done post-graduate work at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA.
